UltraTextEdit UWP is a FOSS text editor for Windows.

It's aim is to provide a redesigned 'WordPad'-style application, but over time, it has grown to encompass more features than WordPad, and is now more like a FOSS version of Word (as its ribbon design implies).

Install instructions

IMPORTANT:

When installing UltraTextEdit UWP for the first time, you must also download its .cer file and add it to your certificate store using the steps below.

DOWNLOAD + INSTALL CERTIFICATE IF YOU HAVE NOT INSTALLED MY WINDOWS APPS BEFORE!

Steps to do this below:

1. Download and double-click certificate file (file extension .cer)

2. Click Install Cerificate

3. Select Local Machine option

4. Click Next

5. Accept UAC (User Account Control) prompt [click Yes]

6. Select Place all certificates in the following store

7. Click Browse

8. Select Trusted Root Cerification Authorities and click OK

9. Click Next

10. Check that window looks like the following:

13. Click Finish

14. You are done! Now you can install this app by downloading (if you haven't already!) and double-clicking the .msixbundle file
